满帆’s commitment to preparing students for careers in entertainment media and emerging technologies includes preparing them for the hiring process. In our primarily digital world, it can be difficult to stand out to employers and get your portfolio noticed. Career Development at 满帆 works to provide opportunities – like the recent Career Networking Expo – to help students engage and connect with potential employers and minimize the stress of the job hunt.

The Career Expo welcomed graduates and students nearing graduation to the 满帆 Live venue where they were able to network with employers, share their portfolios and resumes, and learn more about companies across tech and entertainment, ranging from audio and live event production to game development and engineering.

With dozens of employers actively recruiting for positions, attendees were able to explore potential careers in fields like creative writing, 平面设计, 应用程序开发, event production, and broadcasting from companies including The Walt Disney Company, 梯队, 克莱尔全球, and Waterman Broadcasting.

满帆s grads Amanda Sweaton, Aaron Eady, and Ari Patrick represented Fortnite developer Epic 游戏 while recruiting for internships with the North Carolina-based game studio. “Ask open-ended questions when you’re getting interviewed,” was one of the tips Amanda gave students about what the team at Epic is looking for when hiring. “We want to make sure you can collaborate, we want to know how you problem-solve and how you think of things.”

学生 were also invited to attend private sessions hosted by 火花 focused on employer insights and the do’s and don’ts of career networking while employers hosted company overviews for in-person and virtual audiences.

Other companies in attendance included Carnival Cruise Line, Sweetwater Sound, Ghostpunch 游戏, 女子职业高尔夫球协会, and Disney Live Entertainment.
